OH NO!....It's the GHOST LIGHT!

Perhaps it righteous retaliation for past childhood transgressions, or Karmic repercussions for their indiscretions, or maybe I'm just a cruel bastard, but there is a certain degree of satisfaction for scarring the bejebuzz outta' my kids!
HEH HEH!
As is the tradition in our household, cold weather call for our nightly outdoor fire pit.  As the children are on lock down I almost gave it a pass last night and just sent them to bed after dinner.  However, they did there homework and chores with only a SMALL modicum of winning, so I used that as justification for allowing them some off time outside.  All bundled up and huddled around the fire, Rozy and Logan came up with the idea for scary campfire ghost stories.  Hey,they asked for it. literal!  Well I couldn't think of anything better then the old standby standard...the room at the top of the stairs!  Oh I played it up, right good.  If you are not familiar with the story, its all about presentation.  Make it seem real!  So in the first person, I told the tale of being stranded on a lonely stretch of a dark New England road, tucked away in the woods, no moon no lights, strange noises and movements in the woods around me, walking away from my broken down car, towards a dim light in the distance.  An old, solitary farm house, with a single light.  The dilapidated interior and sounds of dragging in the upstairs and a lonely, hollow voice saying "come in". Only to slowly follow it upstairs to a single door at the end of the hallway,,,and upon opening the creaky old door...I shout out "YOU NEED THE PHONE!?"  Boy Howdy!  did they jump!!
OH "good times...good times.
Then of course Kaleb, wanting to get in on the act, decided he's gonna excuse himself to use the bathroom, instead to sneak out the front door and around to the back in an attempt to "jump out" but instead catches his foot on a tree root and goes sprawling!  Well, it did freak out the other kids!
So, whats on the agenda for today you might ask.  I'm trying to get the 2004 Specialized Hard rock done. Having issues with the drive train.  Hope to have that out before to long, as I already have a fold up OLD SCHOOL DaHon(ish) I want to get in paint. At this point things are progressing slowly, don't have many "minimal" work bikes left (that's to say bikes that take us less then 6 hours to rebuild),  As predicted the first cold snap kept most folks in side yesterday, but hey don't forget you're still gonna ride regardless of temp, so don't go and hibernate, you may end up lookin' like me (squishy in the middle!)
Zombie-Boys got his 2 specials in paint, and Mike's helping with the parts clean and Matt's got his next project (a cool looking Mongoose hybrid) torn down.  They all took off this morning early, to move some stuff into there apartment.  Yes Matt and Zombie-Boy, having met here apparently share a common thread (working here makes 'em to broke to afford to get there own apartments, so they're bunking together, well not "together'...NOT that there's anything wrong with that!") Hopefully they'll all be back to get some work done!
And with that, I better get some work done!  So put on your long Johns and parka and give us a visit, K?
