The Road To Heck Is Paved With Good Ideas

Golly BOB HOWDY!!
Sunday was another blisteringly busy one!  Thanks to all the wanderers seeking us out and paying us a visit!  Sent three more newbies home with good families, even staying a little bit past closing time for those that called in!  Once again stock has dwindled down to a sparse few, but have no fear!  We are building more!  And should the Veloist Gods smile upon us we shall acquire more!
Little disappointed at the end of the day, though.  Given that Angi had to sacrifice her day off so I could work, we had planned to take a ride after the kiddos hit the sheets, with Elijah helming the household so we could sit and have a coffee and some much needed chill time before the new week was upon us.  However, our little......angles (biting tongue firmly) had different plans.  Turns out Owen did something of some sort to anger the other children and his reticent refusal to except responsibility and apologize raised the ire of his siblings (no shocker there).  This is a definite sign of impending disaster.  Inevitably, already upset he would feel unrealistically justified in retaliating against their communal disdain and attempt to "get back" at them.  His SOP is to disobey and disregard until sufficiently irritating them.  This would, of course, result in one of the older brothers loosing his temper, and lash out, more then likely physically, to which Owen would then have something to present to Mom and Dad, who would in turn be compelled to punish the assailant.  thereby resulting in "misery loves company"
It's sad we know our children so well.
Needless to say, disappointed, we settled into our respective niche's and did the usual "movie watch" and went to bed.
Ho-hum.
Managed to get one newbie out yesterday with the sweet Big Boy BCA fully stripped and cleaned and in production.  Will have to set it aside briefly, as I put together the repairs that have already come in this am, then back at it!
I do have to mention I am feeling  wee but excited!  Tomorrow I am to be blessed with one of the most fantastic of honors!  Uncle Chippie, of "Chips Garage" has extended an offer to build us a custom chip creation!  In the form of a three wheeler fashioned from my old Puch 3 speed, and a vintage three wheeler that I have done nothing with!  I can't wait to see what he comes up with for our new shop bike!
So, with that, y'all need to get out and enjoy this beautiful day!  We will see ya soon!

  1. Steven-

Trust me when I say that I'm looking forward to that trike project at least as much as you are! And if it is to be The Shop Trike, I'm thinking I need to cut a sort of advertising board to fit inside the main triangle for the Re-Cycle logo.

See you in the morning, my friend!

  2. Recycled election signs work great and I think they are in season now too.

  3. I'm thinking more along the lines of quarter-inch plywood, nicely shellacked. The trike will be gloss black, and will roll on classic 26 x 1 3/8 tyres. Perhaps not as sporting as one might want, but certainly a fine, sturdy machine for The Family Man.

By the way, it already has the much sought after "Another Vicitm of Chip's Garage" triangular label on the seat tube. Did that first thing.
