Seriously!?

Maybe it's an end of the year thing, or maybe two of my children have somehow become masochistic, but today was a BUSY day for them.  First my first grader, who when NOT interested in participating in class grabs his back pack and LEAVES class.  He then proceeds to wander around until such a time as he gets bored or wanders into the office.  This is where I could begin a tirade on the whole "hands off" rule, but in the interest of time (and space) suffice to say that at whatever point the establishment decided to enact that rule sounded the death knell.  Look, teachers shouldn't HIT a child, but if they get unruly PLANT their butt's in their seat, RAISE your voice, this whole touchy feely, warm hearted happy positive reinforcement thing?  DOESN'T ALWAYS WORK!  You wonder why classrooms nowadays are more like zoo's then a classroom.  Trust me I've sat in on a FEW, and I am aghast a the general lack of respect these kids exhibit, regardless of grade.  I was no angel in school (my name is still spoken in hushed tones in the faculty lounge of Exeter Area High School... "He who shouldn't be named")  but I wouldn't even try a third of what these kids pull on a day to day basis.  My pity goes out to the teachers.
Anyway
The boy got bad enough that they had to call in Dad.  An experience they don't like, but continue to provoke.  In the end he STILL refused to do as he was told and I took him home, where he has been doing his LEAST favorite thing...standing in a corner.
THEN..
My middle schooler, who yesterday cut class, was caught taking another boys headphones, and got two days inside suspension...Oh but that wasn't enough!  He knows the system well enough that if he acts up in there...He'll get suspended!  FOR THREE DAYS!  In his eyes a mini vacation.  Well as he found out, ZERO tolerance at home has once again had to be enforced.  For the next 5 days (he did this just before the weekend)  HE will be standing in the corner (don't worry he's given 5 minutes every two hours to stretch his legs and use the potty)  THE ONLY thing that has a chance of working.  Can't beat 'em (don't work and only makes the little one angry) They HATE not being able to do things.
If any parent listening has any similar experience and has come up with a different approach I'd LOVE to hear ANY suggestions.
SO
On to biz.  Thanks to the horde of exchange students who flooded the shop today!  Don't know were or from who you heard about us but thank them muchly!  Sold 5 bikes, cutting them a super good deal!  Hope you enjoy!
And to all the folks entrusting us with your re-pairs today, we appreciate it greatly.
We managed to put out two today, but one sold about four minutes after completion.  I left the pic here as it was a real sweet road bike/mountain bike hybrid!
Well, i had better toddle off and do the whole Daddy lecture.
