Well once again the fine detective here at RE-Cycle have collared another bike thief!
All right...
So it wasn't our fine detective work, more like dumb luck. Or to be precise a very attentive, smart and resourceful bike owner. Turns out the Trek 4500 we bought last Friday was in fact stolen. Trouble was (according to the officer I talked to today) that the officer who took the report Thursday evening had not in fact filed her reports yet before going off duty for the weekend, so the serial number never entered the system, therefore not being able to give me the heads up. Well the owner caught it on Craigslist and contacted me with the serial number (YES! Someone who actually had enough snap to write down his serial number!!!) We confirmed it and he picked it up today!
And as we speak the law enforcement re on their way to apprehend the would be thief! YAY!!!
ANYWAY!
Was planning on putting out a bunch of new goodies today but once again we were blissfully slammed with customers today! HOO-RAY! So I have nothing new to report. That's not to say we didn't build anything, Oh Nay, Nay! Built two! BUT, the were special orders from Bone Row. Did get few more goodies in today though! A Giant Cypress, need a LOT o work but will be a real peach when she is done! Ad picked up two 20" in trade, and they will be sweet as well when done!
So now it's off to home for corn beef and cabbage with the Irish wife and kids!
HAPPY Saint PATRICKS DAY!
