Saw MANY nice folks and FINALLY did some more buying and trading yesterday (check out pics below) NICE Huffy Black Widow! And an older version of the Honda Racing Bike I'm working on now. Had a very lovely young couple come in yesterday looking for a modified road bike for her. A very tall lass she had been pricing bikes, couldn't find what she was looking for "Off the Rack" and was wondering what we could do for her. She said she was expecting to pay in the neighborhood of $300.00! Should of seen her eyes light up when I told her I could build her something well BELOW that mark! A certain glint of skepticism, but I pulled out the Kamara frame that's been sitting in the back for awhile, waiting on its new owner, and it was perfect for her. ANOTHER CONVERT!! she wants to bi-pedal commute, and wants something fast and comfortable so we're hybridizing it out for her, to her specifications. And doing a full re-paint, along with new crank, tires, wheels, tubes, cable, handle bars and neck, and a comfy Cloud nine seat, and she is at only $195.00!! Well her eyes got REAL big at that! Will show after pics with his one as well.
I miss New England this time of year, no color changes in Florida.
And the wonderful couple (loved chatting with them) who live on the Pinellas Trail, who have taken the plunge after three years and decided to take advantage of the trail, came in to check out what we had with no real intention of buying yet, but found two they really liked, and get out with both for around $100.00! (plus a sweet little trade in (pic below). I really had fun last night!
After work had a great dinner witht the family, then retireing to the lanai, Zombie-boy showed up and persuaded me into a game of pool (which led to four more) . In the ensuing time we realized we needed to clean the place (it needed it!) then reposition the table (so we didn't kep hitting spectators in the head). After the pool game Jay broke out his Magic cards (haven't played in a coons age!) and he thouroughly whumped me 2 to 3.
Well Have alot to do today, but don't let that stop ya from droppin' by and sayin' HI!.
We'll leave the light on for ya!
