Seriously! If you KNOW you are selling a stolen bike why in HADES would you allow someone to photocopy your ID AND get an imprint of your finger print!?

Yea, once again we got in another stolen ride and I would like to thank one of our observant and astute readers (I believe her name was Anni Nonomous) who recognized the bike we had posted from a "Stolen Bike Alert" on Patch.com. We were able to ascertain who owned it and return it to it's rightful owner so you should be proud of yourself for your civil service!
ANYWAY!!!
Yea, that was short rant but anything more would have broken my "no foul language" rule.
Yesterday was surprisingly busy, given the weather conditions and found new homes for a couple of rides as well as putting out a few new ones! Check them out below!
UPDATE!
In the process of writing this the police we contacted came, took the info and informed me that they would help us get more up to speed on the "new" way of doing things by sending a detective by to get us hooked up like a pawn shop. Well, I have heard that several times before but here's hoping!

I'm glad everything worked out OK with the Trek being returned to its rightful owner. That sure was a sweet ride and maybe when I return to Dunedin in January, you can find me one just like it. See you then...Your Canadian Friend.
ReplyDeleteAh! OK! Not so Anni nonomous now! Well, at least this incident had a good outcome. Not only does the owner have his bike back BUT after talking to the officers they hooked us up with a couple detectives from the Sheriffs department that agreed to help set us up similar to a pawn shop where EVERY purchase will go through them daily and be researched ! YAY! it only took them seven years but we'll be able to sleep better!
