Sorry, I mean to keep y'all updated but just been engrossed in work all week.
So lets recap.
First off, family news! Any of you (few) folks who tune in regularly you'll remember that a couple weeks ago we were given the startling news that our first grader Rozlynd was being considered for the "gifted students" program (and no that does not refer to the politically acceptable reference to the students that go to school in the "short" bus) but rather to those performing far and above the norm. Well they tested her last week and she scored in the highest percentile! She is currently reading at a fourth grade level. Yes I know, compared to all other nations our schools have a hell of a Bell curve, but impressive by American standards none the less! And doubly surprising as this is a girl who can't even pick up her dirty towels and forgets to dry off before leaving the bathroom! Now she goes on to level 2! Whatever that means.
ANYWAY!
We have put out many new goodies the last few days, alas due to one of our now regular SNAFU's, the pics will once again not download to our computer. Don't ask me, I'm clueless! I just wait a couple a days, pray to the God's of microchips and Viola! it starts working again.
Yay technology!
So what we have left from the latest pack are SEVERAL kiddo bikes, a real sweet Peugeot Limestone, 21 speed commuter classic cromoly frame, a couple bangers, a real cute Dahon classic folding bike with a big ol' puffy seat and....crud! I know there's more, but you can check 'em out when you come in next week!
Once again we took Saturday to get the shop reorganized and started puttin' out some more spare parts. Again, flabbergasted at some of the stuff hidden back there!
Alright! On to "current events"
First off, now that the election is behind us and the right guy got voted back in (as I said before Florida of course couldn't get there act together again this election cycle and didn't declare Obama the winner until Friday....sheesh!) And of course all the Corporate supported Right wing "speaking point" mouth pieces have been bad mouthin' the whole outcome. Lord! Look, suck it up! The American population has spoken LOUDLY! Two more states legalizing same sex marriages? Two states legalizing recreational Marijuana? the world it is a chagin'! So take note the republicans and moral majority (or is that minority?) need to make some "in-house" changes. For the most part your concept for smaller government, lower taxes (for the 99%) and less spending (done fiscally wise) are all good ideas but you get WAY to hung up on trying to force your morality down every ones throat. Stick to practical matters and let the real majority figure everything else out.
Oh and it is with no small sense of hysterically giggling pleasure that I and millions of others bore witness to the utter disgrace and downfall of Carl Rove. PLEASE let this be the last time this man is EVER allowed out in public again!
