To all those concerned with my diatribe yesterday, and then lack of communication later, no nothing of "bad" transpired. And a sorry to anyone attempting to come in, in the evening, but we closed down early. I had "somewhat" neglected to remember that my K and 1st grader had a mutual concert at their school in the PM, and of course the obnoxious Atherton Cheering Crowd HAD to be there! We always love to be the loudest in the crowd! OH YES...everyone KNOWS us! (hehhehehehehe)
I will say Rozy did an AWESOME job and as expected was QUITE animated in her presentation. Owen was of course his usual stoic self. It's funny you can't get the kid to sit still for 10 seconds, or to shut up for 5 but put him i front of an audience and he just goes through the motions. the whole time the only time he opened his mouth was to yawn!
Oh Well, someday he'll make a really good "efficiency expert" for some major multinational corporation. You know, the little guy in the dark suit telling you what you are doing WRONG!
But I think Rozy will be the actress/entertainer of the clan.
AND it did give me an excuse to shave. I was starting to look rather....scary. Believe me after a few hours of work, and with all that facial hair by mid-afternoon if I am out and about in the plaza, those who don't know me give me a wide birth as they assume I'm gonna say "Hey..gimme a dallah!"
But my wife loves me!
Yesterday, albeit a beautiful day was not all that busy. But that's cool, I know you are all just waiting for the weekend to come in and mob us, AND it gave us plenty of time to pump out some more goodies! Zombie-Boy is almost done with the tandem Special and also has a real sweet GT 26" men's MTB re-paint in his bay (Black metal flake...SWEET!) , jose' put out another two bangers, and I dug through the garage and pulled out some more goodies to build. Have a nice ladies cruiser in my rack in paint, and have continued working on the "Diamondback" special. That was course after fighting with a stubborn bottom bracket on ANOTHER special! ARRGH! I hate it when I can't make something work!
So today promises to be another busy one as I took in some more goodies! picked up a 15" Specialized HRXC, a mongoose EFX (ARRGH! sometimes the disadvantages of aging make themselves ALL TO APPARENT!...anyone trying to call the shop will probably get a "temporarily disconnected" message as I have ONCE AGAIN lost track of what time of month it is again, and will be unable to get to the Phone Store until later this afternoon! PISSAH!)
And a Special "THANKS!" to Chip who once again has delved into the abyss of his "Garage" and brought us in more treats! They shall not go unappreciated!
OK so onto Movies, as tonight is "Friday Night Family Movie Night". Now I have no idea what's on tap for tonight, but last night Momma and I picked up a flick at Red Box (after being bound and gagged and force fed the Oscars, I was interested in seeing the flick "The Kids Are All Right") Now I do so wish that film promoters were held to a standard of "honesty" when they packaged their films (and I should have known better then to trust the opinion of the "Academy") but this was another one of those "WHY did I sit through ALL of this?" I was expected an "all out funny blast" and "hilarious" film, NOT the lesbian version of "the Story of US". NOW before you jump me for being Homo-phobic or anything like that, that's not my sticking point, anyone who knows me, knows my opinion of homosexuality is no different then that of hetero, and I applaud any film that points out that a family, no matter what their sexual biases can be just as good or just as screwed up as the next, but i was expecting HUMOR! If I want to watch someone struggling with a midlife crisis, or adolescent angst, I just have to shut down the boob tube and have dinner with my family!
ANYWAY, I am rambling at this point...Not enough coffee, sorry.
