And so it Begins...

A new chapter in the life and times of the Atherton Manor is underway.  We began the arduous task of cleaning out the mess that was once our home!  Unfortunately, as the house has sat stagnant and idle for almost a month the majority of the upholstered furniture (which was pretty rough to begin with) is now sitting at the curb.  In our house we have to change out living room furniture about once a year.  No matter what precautions you take or lessons you try and teach, children have no respect. And deliberately destroy.  SOO, we will be furniture shopping in the next couple of weeks.  Used furniture shopping!  Trust me , it makes NO bloody sense to buy a really nice living room set when it will last no longer then a $50 set you pick up on Craigslist!  But at least we are weeding out the plethora of paraphernalia packed precariously in the nooks and crannies.  Oh woe to me, as I will now FINALLY have to properly weed and clean the  garage!  So Terry is going to have a scrap field day!
Well yesterday we managed to put out two real sweet projects, a men's Nishiki Meridian SC that Terry brought in after doing a clean out, had been sitting in someones yard and had quite a bit of foliage growing out of it (the same clean out garnished a nice Eddie Bauer you should see tonight!) but when all was said and done clean up REAL nice!!  And Zombie-Boy making a rare cameo appearance in the shop, put out a 2005 TREK 3900.  This bike had been WELL loved and WELL ridden and needed extensive re-pairs, and re-furb but after all was said and done...GORGEOUS!
Today Matt is still putzin with the ever more demanding Antique Schwinn Panther, as he tries valiantly to save as much of the original bike as he can.  But sitting in a shed for 40+ years has taken it's toll.  We have faith though! Go MATT...go!
I will be spending some time at the house helping to pack then be back over to finish up the Bauer and hopefully get started on the Ditched dredged Workman 3-wheeler.
