Here's the key to buying a good Schwinn: If it doesn't have the traditional brazed-on kickstand boss, you don't want it. No, that doesn't mean it was made in Chicago, but it does mean it was made back when they cared.<br /><br />As for those spokes popping like that, that is a clear sign that the bike was stored in the same place (garage, shed, whatever) as pool chemicals like chlorine. That stuff rots bikes from the inside out. <br /><br />Mighty easy to buy a bad bike these days.Uncle Chippienoreply@blogger.com
